There are two stray dogs in question.

that sucks man.

10 is a little old. Most bites seem to occur around 4 or 5 yrs old.

Personally I think dogs that have put up with the toddlers harassing them finally decide the kids are old enough to know better.

If it were my daughter pew pew would be the answer. I love dogs, have always had dogs for both sport and companionship. That said, as soon as my wife and daughter were headed to the doctor, I would have put the suppressor on my 7mm tossed a piece of meat out the backdoor and waited for a 2 for 1 to present itself. Loaded dogs into contractor bags and thrown them out at the dump on the way to meet my wife and daughter.

If I was at my house (no neighborhood) I would shoot them.

If I was in your neighborhood I would stab them.

Why don't you quit feeding them, for one?

This!

I vote for calling animal control. At least there MIGHT be a shot at them getting adopted and living decent lives.

I know a man (20+ years ago) whose daughter got bit while she was riding her bike down the street. A down the street (thug type) neighbor had a dog that would chase cars and kids. The dog knocked his little girl off her bike and bit her several times. The police did not do anything about it.

So the man tied an old undershirt to the spokes of his front left tire and drove down the road. Slow enough for dog to catch the shirt and BAM the dog broke his neck.

Problem solved!

My daughter has played with them some and last night went outside and the dogs were there. She was giving them something to eat and the dogs started fighting. She was bitten and my wife took her to the Dr to be treated.

Should I take matters into my own hands and dispose of the dogs myself or contact animal control?

at this point you call animal control, in the moment, you crack dog on head with a bat.

why are you letting your young daughter play with stray dogs?

There was 1 on my street, and the mailman refused to deliver mail on my street. Since I couldn't shoot it in the city limits, Animal control brought out a trap. I loaded it with cheap sausage and caught it.

Animal control has the dogs.

The dogs have no shown no other signs of aggression. I really think when she fed them they were fighting each other and she was in the wrong place.

Lesson learned.

The officer also said that had I solved the situation myself we may be scheduling a series of vaccines. He also said that a grown man doesn't want that much less a 7 year old girl.

Thanks for the input and wisdom of the OB

Didn't go into too much detail with him, but if the dogs had been aggressive and I had gotten rid of them then I assume he is talking about rabies vaccine. Which I think is a series of shots.
