Yeah, I read that stuff,, amazing. It would take a bunch of those lil nuts to make anything, probly why they grow so fast..

ND,, it would take a mighty deep tunnel to get that under the pond,, that sucker has grown.

If I am from Alabama am I a Country Boy or due to my Scottish heritage, am I a Highlander?

Chicken tree and all of the variations mentioned are correct.
You could soon have a problem if you don't correctly address it.
Don't cut this tree!!! Every 1" piece makes a new tree. They grow like weeds and take over any good piece of property. Nothing eats them and they provide little shade. They are ugly. They are useless.
Only way to rid yourself of them is to poison them early before they take ovwr

One of the most invasive non endemic species of woody plant in N America. They are a blight on this country and should be exterminated but they reproduce faster than rabbits.

The tallow oil burns really well though so it makes for some entertaining firewood.

FWIW the history of this tree and how it got here is kind of interesting if you like that sort of thing.

They bad. The good thing is even a 3" diameter tree is soft enough for a bushhogto cut. Just go slow. But that just spreads the seeds. I spray 24D now. Maybe I need to try what BP says to get the roots.
