My top producer is a super fluke in Houdini color, works best when there is no sun but still catches on the shady banks.

Yum dinger.
Also a gold rogue, red trap, and spinnerbait.

Senko for me on most lakes.... one particular lake I would change my answer to a 3/8 oz flipping jig.

Depends on where you at.

Rapala minnows and/or shad rap.

You must be more stoned than I am. The pre-spawn here in Oklahoma is February and March. Your best chance at a trophy largemouth around Oklahoma is in March.

That senko just does what it does.
That slow sink rate just triggers them even on bluebird clear sky days.
Jigs do well also.

Black neon big bite craw tube. Next in line would be a structure bug in black and blue

Junebug senko Texas rigged and weightless in the marsh. Or a black and blue chatterbait. Both deadly

I’ve started using moving baits this week but the water temp hasn’t risen enough just yet to trigger the bass out of their coma. I plan to fish Firecraw Jackhammer with Hog Farmer on the back quite a lot.
I used to fish Senkos a lot but I find other techniques more enjoyable.

This is my go-to in all seasons. Weightless usually, unless conditions require weight. Colors are either Smoky Shad or Baby Bass. I also typically downsize to the Jr size, 4in I believe instead of the 6 inch. Made in America, right outside Athens GA. Zoom Baits.
16 inch Crappie like them too...

$20 chatter bait? They work that much better?
Posted on 2/12/22 at 4:29 pm to Slickback
I’m usually using a June bug trick worm or brush hog.

You can get Jackhammers for $12 if you just wait for the deals. The construction is fantastic on them…I use many JH’s and cost isn’t a factor at this point. I also use $4 blades jigs…just seek out what works.
