Its a lifted 88 lariat xlt 4x4 with 57k original miles. It has a straight 6 crate motor, manual transmission, power windows, power locks, cold ac, warm heat, 35" boggers with matching spare, tinted windows. The interior is all original and immaculate, no dents on the outside good paint. Everything on it works. I can't find much on the internet, but most of the ones I find in similar shape with similar miles are $8500-12000. Which theres no way I'd pay that, but if I could pick it up cheap.

57k original and it has a new motor?
I've seen those all over the place range wise. How cheap are you getting it for?

I edited . I haven't made an offer, but I'm thinking I could get it for $6500. I'll have to get the story tomorrow as far as the deal on the motor.

Road hard and put up wet.
Should be original at that mileage.

Better do a pressure test on the motor.

$3500 as a daily driver or maybe $6k as something to show off

I'd be curious as to why the engine swap with that few miles.

Yeah with a 6, I wouldnt go over 5k, but probably stay in the 4k range, if everything checks out. any dealer will only offer 2-3k tops, so the guy needs to private sale to make anything. Ball is in your court.

How sure are u it has 57k original miles? Weird to swap a motor out that early especially on a truck built in the time.
If I'm not mistaken a 88 only goes to 99,999 before rolling back to zero.

Clean looking old truck though. I'd like to find one about that age with the 7.3 idi.

Those straight 6's from that Era were pretty bullet proof. I'd like to hear the story on the swap, dude probably just wanted a new engine?

Hijack - Not level? It looks like the front is sitting higher than the rear. Why do I always see that on lifted trucks around town?
Is this some trendy new look, or do the owners not notice?

Because the mileage is bullshite. Either a rollback happened or 1,057,000 miles

I would not pay more than 5 if I wanted a toy. If you are looking for an everyday driver keep looking.
