Yep. Good friend Of mine said the faster the boat, the less fish he caught. He used to wear out the fish in a 16' champion w/120. Then got a 18' Champion w/150 and caught less. Finally got a 20' champ with 225 and couldn't win a tournament for shite.

It's a 20 year old piece of fricking redneck architecture. Everything is wrong with it. It has no hitch, the blower motor is out, it has an exhaust leak, it needs freon, it's loosing water somewhere, both the door handles are broke, there's some unidentifiable noise coming from the front end that I just had rebuilt, the transmission is on the fringes of death, the trip odometer doesn't work, it's fricking rusty, the dashboard is cracked, and most of all I'm fricking pissed at it.

Pretty much this. So I did. And I still came back to work with him.
He's not big on giving advice but he'll give me a heads up if he thinks I'm about to make a mistake.
And he's taught most of what I know about farming.

when you are eating puss always make sure that you put your thumb on the bung hole...so the worst that that happens is you accidentally lick the back of your thumb.

Never really received any advice from my dad. When I was younger we didn't get along very well so I guess we skipped that phase of our relationship. I pretty much learned by trial and error.
