Nothing real exciting, but took the family for a walk along a local river bottom to see dinosaur tracks

The 5 year old and I got into the bream pretty good. Not great big ones, just solid ones. Ended up keeping about 25 and a couple small cats, threw back about that many.

I have been taking him since he was 2, today it all clicked, he must have set a world record in words said...I caught myself just laughing out loud. He went out like a light on the ride back in, post fish beer, a few fish to stink the grease, and a sleeping fishy smelling little boy...that's gotta be worth something!

That made me smile.
Use to love fishing with my son.

Great way to spend a weekend.

Literally the first cast out of my new yak and my first time yak fishing. Was catching rat reds all morning. At about 9:30, I decided to move to a spot where I always catch bigger reds. Realized is not as easy to get there in a kayak as it was in my boat. 3 miles later and I had a sweat going on top of that, I struck out there It was a very nice day out there though.

Headed to the north side of Delacroix this morning. Only 1 13" bass. Decided to hit Shell Beach this afternoon. The bit was slow but caught a few trout, few reds and a 40# gar. Damn thing was brutal using light tackle.

So I get to the boat launch at 5:15 this morning and all batteries are dead! My 3yo climbed in the boat and turned on the fish finder and every other switch he could find. was back in bed at 6

That's a nice one. What'd you catch him on?

Hauled in this beast this morning. Drug me around for a while. Caught all mine on gold spoons.

Back home early this morning. Dam buffalo gnats ate my lunch at the camp. Suckers were real bad. At this point, I don'i know if I need to go to the ER. I'm swelling up big time. My right eye led is just about close and hurts like a mofo.

Over all, still had a great time at the camp. Good food, shite load of beers and Jim Beam. Ended up with around 30 lbs of fillet catfish with a few flatheads at that.
