Does anyone know what the construction situation is looking like headed to Gulf Shores?

Leaving Saturday morning and trying to decide on chancing it and taking 49S to 10 or I20 down through Mississippi. Would prefer 49 to 10 if it can be pulled off.

He was a helluva guy. I only got to know him in person for about a year and a half with half of that time him battling that damned disease.

To you EJW.

Don't go through Slidell, no matter which direction you take. Your play may be to take 20 over to 49 and peel off at 98 just south of Hattiesburgh to Mobile.

Apparently the construction wasn't going on during the day along the interstate. Everyone that left that morning said they didn't see any construction. We left at 4 and it was a clusterfrick

I MIGHT try to chance it on the drive back Wednesday. I figure all the young bucks will be back in school so the roads shouldnt be too congested if the construction isnt too bad.

Don't do it man. I drive down there from Bossier City all of the time since my pops has a place there. Just take 20 and head down that way it takes me about 7 hours tops and is an easy drive.

Going to go that route now. Don't want to chance getting caught in construction standstill with pregnant wife and 2 year old kid.
