I feel like I remember u telling ppl if they were looking at a second ar and had one to try out the other. May be remembering wrong but why the switch.

I don't think so lol, I definitely don't remember. I've been team MLOK from day one and have posted quite a bit on its advantages
Essentially:
Looks better than keymod
Easier to cut than keymod (which also means cheaper to manufacture than keymod)
No directional component
Manufacturers are selling 3-4 MLOK units to every 1 keymod unit. Only reason keymod has lasted this long is because of first mover advantage and early endorsement by Noveske

Seriously I'm starting to think you downvote yourself as soon as you post anything. You must be going for some kind of record

I just feel like Noveske may have taken a step back since the founder died. Seems like they have been stagnant after the keymod release.
On the keymod note, I have one keymod rail and it came on my BCM when they first released their magnesium rail. Shortly thereafter the magnesium rails started having problems...and quietly BCM replaced them with the alpha rail.
So with USSOCOM making the change to mlok and everyone else switching to mlok it seems the writing is on the wall for keymod.

BCM basically put all of their stock in keymod (95% of their complete uppers come with keymod handguards, almost all of their accesories- foregrips, rail covers, light mounts, are keymod). Really sucks because I've been looking at one of their 11.5" complete uppers for a while, but don't want to spend money on it just to get it and immediately remove their KMR handguard. Hell, you can get a Midwest Industries 10" M-Lok with four built-in QD sling slots for $150, while a 10" KMR is $180, and you have to add a QD sling mount.

Yeah dude, I used to love them, but they're becoming a parody of themselves now. 3400 for a stiller action and a pacnor barrel in a fricking magpul 700 stock
I still have a magnesium/aluminum KMR and love it. I got it way before there was a decent array of Mlok offerings

This is exactly what's preventing me from buying a 300BO upper from them, I'm trying to wait for them to introduce MLok, which supposedly is in the works.

Same I can't find any 8" 300blk barrels I like so I'm going with the 9" BCM but that seems to severely limit my choice of vanguards because for some reason not many offer an 8" rail. Think I will b going slr

Yup, have become a marketing company that sells guns. There a few companies that are or have become like them.

That would be great, I assume they would be manufacturing their own and not using third-party like they do with Daniel Defense quads, as those are never in stock.

I remember reading you say that when I was looking at building and I went mlok and agree with the above 100%

I have this same set up (9" BCM barrel, 8" SLR MLok rail). You won't be disappointed.

Well looks like I'm switching teams. All my ARs are keymod, but that's mainly because I like the KMR so much. I wonder when BCM will switch over.

It appears as though I've chosen HD DVD.
