Neighbor has a 2005 bad boy buggie with new batteries, lights. It's camo and in good shape. Not the extended cab version. No winch. Asking $5000. Seems too high. What says the outdoor board??

Dayum. Seems like a lot for a 10 year old golf cart. That has to be one of the first ones, right? I wonder how far they've come since then?

Not sure of volts . Says 4x4. Has 6 batteries. Didn't have time to ask questions this morning.

1. Make sure it has received the recall repairs. It's illegal to sell one that's subject to the recall.

BBB had serious recall issues related to "runaway buggies." Any BBB made in 2005 is subject to this recall.

BAD BOY BUGGIES CLASSIC MODELS RECALL
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.
Name of Product: Classic Buggies
Units: About 9,300. Consumers who participated in the October 2009 recall should also participate in this recall, because the initial repair did not adequately fix the hazard.
Manufacturer: Bad Boy Enterprises LLC, of Natchez, Miss.
Hazard: The off-road vehicles can accelerate without warning, posing a risk of injury to the user and/or bystanders.
Description: This expanded recall involves all Bad Boy Classic model off-road utility vehicles manufactured from early 2003 through May 2010.

2. I think $5000 is very high. I only paid $8450 for a brand new, 2006 model, 4x4, equipped with winch, gun rack, front basket and roof basket.

I wouldn't pay more than $2500, assuming it has been to an authorized E-Z-Go dealer (current owner/manufacturer of BBB) for the recall issue.

My uncle had a Bad Boy when they first came out. That thing was terrible. Extremely bad turning radius for it's size and not much power. I mean I know it's an electric cart, but really wasn't worth the 10k+ he spent on it at the time. I don't think it was worth 5k at the time brand new.

My boss got one last week. 2008, 4 inch lift, new rims and tires. Brand new batteries. 48v not 36v. And he paid less than 4k.

I know gas motors are loud, but those golf carts fall apart. Constantly something is fricking up.

Wasn't the big deal on these electric vehicles applicable tax credits? They had to be street legal as I recall, turn signals, lights, brake lights, etc. the credits were pretty generous as I recall. Had an uncle with one and as mentioned, somb ich needed three clearead, contiguous graveled acres to turn around.

Not sure about the details of the tax credit, but the BBB I had (2006) wasn't street legal. (No brake lights, no turn signals)

And yes, the BBB's have a huge turning radius.

I sold mine a few years ago and bought a 48 volt Beast. Zero problems with the Beast.
