Which state? Sucks for me in West Central Alabama. Can't do any controlled burns for thinning trees

I can certainly empathize with those who need the rain, but I'm personally enjoying the drought conditions here in the greater BR area. I am so ready for a cold, dry winter instead of the hot, wet winter we had last year.

If we can get a couple of hard fronts before the rain starts it will help duck season immensely.

D4 drought zone in south central Georgia. It has not rained at my house since 9/14 and even then it wasn't enough to do anything. My food plots look like the Sahara Desert right about now. I turned off my irrigation system at the house because running it wasn't doing enough to keep it green and I was tired of cutting it. I have Bermuda and I don't think nuclear war could kill it off.

Im just happy the rivers are low and clear. Im not a big time hunter (small game and ducks are about all I hunt) so the spotted bass and channel cats are calling my name.

We got a good bit early in the summer. But since the end of August I think we've only had like 3-4 days where it rained. And those were quick showers moving through.

And let it be dry in Spring. My favorite pre-spawn fishing has been messed up for what seems like forever.

No, go hunting instead. And take all of the marsh beaters with you so I can have all the fishing to myself . I don't blame you though, I hate hunting in the heat.
