UPDATE
I ordered it shortly after making this post Saturday night. They had my local FFL listed as one of their preferred FFL's on their site so the ordering process was simple and painless. Sportsman's Guide, if you're not familiar with them, offers buyers a regular price - which is usually very competitive with other online retailers - and a discounted price if you're a member of their online club. Club members also get free shipping and an option to split the bill into 4 payments on any order over $150 (for no additional fees or interest). They were offering a free 30 day club trial when I ordered so I signed up and selected the easy-pay-4 option also. Why not? It's free! (just gotta remember to cancel the club in 30 days!)
Got a shipping confirmation email today and gun will be at my FFL via FedEx 2-day on Wednesday.
Ordering process was easy. Can't wait to shoot it and see how it handles.
ORIGINAL POST
Got an email from Sportsman's Guide with this sale. Can't find much online about the UDX models. What I can find basically says the difference between these and other Buck Mark models is the molded finger indentations into the actual frame.
Quick search shows prices anywhere from $329 - $450 depending on materials.
Anyone ever do business with Sportsman's Guide before?
Thanks in advance.
Currently, website says $314 but the email I got says $295

I've always preferred the Ruger also. My cousin has a buck mark that I shot and liked. They're so similar to Ruger's that it comes down to brand preference I guess. And the buck mark and Browning names aren't exactly unknowns either...

I've got the exact one in OP and I think I paid 359 a few years ago. I love it, wish I shot it more.

I have one that I got about 8 years ago. Paid around $270 back then. Very nice gun. Mainly used it to tree rat hunt. My son though I was nuts doing that till I was killing my limits.
When I had that raffle for my brother, that was second prize. That one was $279 + taxes.

Have one that I bought last year. Can't remember what it costs at cabelas. Anyways, I'll be bringing it out to honey island this morning.

Both the Ruger Mark II and the Browning Buckmark are great little .22 pistols. I've had a Mark II for over 20 years and it is still very accurate after thousands of rounds through it.
Just recently bought the Buckmark with threaded barrel. The advantage of the Buckmark is that it's easier to clean than the Ruger.

Like LC said, Browning is much easier to clean. Ruger is probably a little better. The browning action is kinda based off the Colt Woodsman or the S&W model 41 (I think that's right).
Great gun to shoot as it's very accurate but not too heavy. I've had one for better than 20 years. I recently but a tactical solutions barrel on it. Weight is way down and accuracy is probably a little better.

Idk why, but I shoot the Ruger better, and I also enjoy shooting it more. frickers are expensive though

And you can't find the full metal ones anymore

What? They quit making them or something? I was gonna get one for my little sister when I have some spare change. It was the only pistol she liked shooting. I had to cut her off after a while

All of the news ones have plastic frames.
I just like the metal.

Wow, if that's true, it really sucks. I much prefer my pistols to be metal.
I can see the arguments and advantages of polymer frames on an everyday carry or duty gun, but for a 22, that's ridiculous.

Well that's disappointing. Who wants a plastic version of a classic gun?

That's one thing I've heard and read also.

A Woodsman Match Target was the first pistol my father ever gave me. Lost it to Katrina!

Truth rite here. I came so close to throwing my Mark III in the trash once when I got frustrated putting it back together. Cooler heads did prevail and a couple of youtube videos later I was successful in getting it back together.

You will love it.
Look at the tactical solutions barrel if you ever want to drop some of the weight. It's stupid lite.
