The ultimate truck gun is the maverick 88 shotgun.
It's cheap. It holds a decent amount of shells. And it is dead nuts reliable, even if dunked in mud and water.
I have a few. Buy em, paint em with afrylic paint so the barrel won't rust, and they are good for just about ever.
