Anyone else killed any with their dog this year. We have 31 for the year so far. Hoping to get over 100 mark for the season.

My dog is 5 months old but she hates a damn squirrel. Looking forward to next season.

She's 16months. Last year was rough, it seems like a year can make a world of difference.

Had a rough evening yesterday. Carried 7 kids with the oldest being 11. Sounded like a heard if elephants running in the woods. Treed only 5 times killing 3

You had a rough time, but I bet the kids thoroughly enjoyed it! Congrats on taking the kids squirrel hunting w/ a dog. It's a great way to get outdoors w/ kids.

I have several friends who have/hunt them with dogs. I've always enjoyed the stalking part of hunting them. I seldom hunt them anymore but this was last year's opening day.

killed a few this week, weather has had us hunting hard. Every squirrel we have killed has been hunkered down bad!

Any tips on doing this without a dog? Looking to get into it but I can't seem to see anything.

It's tough this time of year without a dog. There are no leaves on the trees for you to slip.

put some cracked corn in a bird feeder in your backyard. remove the screen from a strategic window. sit on the sofa with a rifle and your window open. wait. use a round that won't alarm the neighbors.

Better to use a 22 this time of year to take longer shots since you cant hide as well.

Right now, if you see one, you will see 3-4 more with it. They are on the ground most of the day due to no air cover. I been seeing a shite load of them on my place.
