What kind of revolvers are we talking about? Do they still have to be in production?

From a historical standpoint, Colt DA revolvers are superior to all others with regards to quality IMO. Colt no longer manufactures double action revolvers in any capacity however. They still manufacture the Single Action Army which has nothing of comparable type and quality since USFA went out of business.

Current production revolvers from S&W are a shadow of what they used to be. Quality is not there in the finish, etc. plus they have a lock.

Everything else in current production is about on the same footing IMO. Take your pick.

Freedom Arms is the highest quality modern single action and it isn't even close.

FA is a small company.

I've only handled one (did not shoot), and the quality was awesome. It's kind of like a comparison between a Rolex and a Casio. The FA isn't really going to do the job much better than the S&W or the Ruger, but damn it would be nice to have one.

Just my opinion.
