I live in Youngsville and my creole tomatoes have barely grown and are not flowering. I transplanted them into my garden on Easter Sunday. Is is too late to plant new plants?

Pretty much, if you find some that are pretty mature already, or look for some heat tolerant varieties such as heat wave, solar flare, etc

This, or wait a couple of months and plant in July for a fall crop.

Too late for the spring crop unless you can find some that are a foot or so tall. Might be better to plant later to bear in the fall instead.

There are heat set varieties that are made for the summer, but even then the set rate is hit or miss.

Stine in Youngsville has some heat tolerant varieties. Or wait for the fall.

No it is not. I will plant my heat set tomatoes in a week or two. And I am much further south than you. Just make sure you are buying the right plants.

Youngsville is the Southside Lafayette. How much further south?

If you planted them that long ago I would more look into what is wrong with your soil, sunlight or something else. If you plant more plants they may do the same aince these should have grown alot and made tomatoes by now. Sounds like not enough sunlight are they near the shade?

You can certainly plant now, all the way through late July... Just don't expect high yield results when planting right now.

Try a few different varieties, see what works, report back.
