One of my buddies just told me he is killing spawning females somewhere around midlake. Caught over 30 and kept a limit all over 6 pounds.

Edit: He was pulling my leg, used the story to send me a picture of a worm shaped like a dick.

We killed 3 limits of bedding cinnamon teal this morning because there were too many of them last yr and were tired of shooting them all.

and last weekend, me and my brother barely caught a limit and caught 2 6+ lb bedded females (threw them both back)

it was hard fishing though and it wasn't like they were really on quite yet

just a steady catch a fish every 20 or 30 minutes

flipping in brush and chatter baits in muddy water

I call bullshite. If he's your buddy get some pictures. Otherwise keep your trolling to yourself.

If I caught a limit all over 6 lbs everyone in the southeastern United states would have a picture of my big arse in front on a big arse table.

a 30 lb stringer isn't unheard of for Toledo

We've caught two limits the last three times we've been (last Friday, and the weekend before on Saturday and Sunday). Been killing them up North, and they are on beds. My dad caught a 7.4 and a couple fives off beds on Monday.

Yep it's that time of year . OT'rs hopefully you'll use good judgement when catching spawning females. I've never cut a bass over 2 lbs much less a bigger one spewing eggs. Just doesnt make sense to me with all the other bounty we have access to, to remove the most valuable of them all just to fry them up. Good Fishing to all

Oh I agree with this. But you don't come claiming you kept a stringer like that unless you're here to rustle jimmies.

Well it sounds like bullshite, and if it sounds like bullshite you should come bearing proof or prepare to be ignored/ridiculed.

I know several people that bitch about fish populations all the time, but keep everything they catch like they're starving to death even though their freezers are full. I just walk away when they start it up.
