can't stand a poacher.... same as a petty thief in my opinion.

Is there a way to gate the area? Our club had a few trespassers until Plumb Creek put gates on the gravel roads.

Shot 8 times with 22 then once in back of the head. Slob in pic is 6'3" and about 270. Not the biggest but was old man of the woods. They were jug fishing and shooting coons on land they didn't have permission to hunt on. So pissed off I can't stand it.

Just read you know for a fact it was poached. Sucks man, hope they throw the book at them.

Having a hard time with it this morning. I'm a school teacher and all 3 of the poachers are former students. 2 of them in school now and I've had to see them in the hall and not say a word about it. The really hard thing is both the ones still on campus I've given hunting tips, free traps and even processed fur for free. Both have come into my shop and talked while I was showing them how to flesh and try skins. I've done my damndest to preach ethics and try and help kids as much as possible. We had even discussed this deer before. Before I was simply pissed, now it's more like betrayed.

Yeah, that sucks even more. You should tell them how you feel, but remember that we were all dumb high school kids at one time and we all did stupid things. There's a lesson to be learned here for them.

frick those little motherfrickers. They deserve everything they get and then some. 
I did a lot of screwing up when I was in high school and college, but never, ever did it cross my mind to poach wildlife. Not once. That is stealing. And shooting it 8 times with a .22? That magnificent animal had to go through that so they could be Facebook cool? frick them.

Well... maybe a few beavers. At night. Or early in the morning. Or the middle of the day. Or whenever the opportunity presented itself. And I usually beat them to death. Then shot them.

smoked hog I hate to see how this whole thing progressed.I hope that the punishment for their wrong doing changes these kids. Its a damn shame that people today dont have respect for other peoples stuff. As others have said previously that this is stealing. Throw in the fact that they shot it with a .22 makes this a whole lot worse.After its all said and done I would say something to the kid you helped out and treated so well. I would explain to him that you will not be helping him any longer and that actions have consequences.
