I have killed a 305 and weighted it myself to confirm and that scale would not come close to handling this hog.

My man got us one on the last day. Good, bad or indifferent, it turned out it was a button buck. Honest mistake and I wasn't wise enough to notice it was a button buck.

It was a hell of an adventure. He shot him quartering towards us and hit him in the gut and blew his back leg apart. Waited 30 minutes to look for him and he had to shoot him two more times after chasing him through multiple thickets and I had to beat him with a stick to finally dispatch the tough bastard. Little Dong 1 led the tracking and virtually cleaned the deer himself. Hate that it was a button buck, but it was an honest mistake. Still very proud of my man. That makes three for him this year.

Failed to mention we had to drag him out of the woods and a quarter mile down the logging road which included a creek crossing and he never complained. His only anxious moment was when the woods were pitch black and he was afraid the boogey man was going to get us. I still have that same fear at 50.

will be tender for sure. Sounds like a hell of an adventure. Much more exciting than my last hunt of the year.

Thanks hunt. It was a riot and I'm exhausted. Hadn't seen one in our last six hunts. The deer gods have been good to Little Dong 1.

Been there, done that! My Dad and I were tracking a deer a couple years ago after dark and our flashlights were getting dim. Had a pack of yotes nearby making a bunch of racket. We found the deer and dragged it out with a quickness. We laughed about it after but while it was happening we weren't.

We need a picture with a foot in the frame for size comparison. Right now all we have to go on rivals the fuzzy Sasquatch videos.
