Thoughts on this boat?

I'm gonna go check this rig out this weekend. Talked to owner about it and it just had floor replaced, electrics updated, fresh paint, and some trailer work. Would use for fishing freshwater lakes and some salt when we go to the beach for vacation.

I was originally looking around for a tin rig either center or side console but saw this and it caught my attention. I want something that is versatile for various fishing scenarios and also comfortable to cruise in with the dog and girlfriend. Fit easily in my budget too.

Any feedback is appreciated. The make of the boat isn't pulling up any info on google. The owner said they were from South Carolina and went OB.

Neat looking little boat. There sure isn't much room in it though. I would make sure you know that's what you want before you buy it. Get the engine inspected by a mechanic, it's almost 25 years old. A new motor would cost quite a bit more than you are paying for the whole rig.

Good luck

I would take him up on his offer of a sea trial.

If you get there and he's already warmed up the motor, be suspicious.

If it starts and runs OK when it's cold, it's probably OK.

Run it from cold 10-15 minutes to check out how it runs when hot as well.

It looks clean, IDK if it's worth $5K.

It's a cutie pie, for sure.
Maybe some salt, but I'd be careful of "white cappin'" salt.

Interesting looking thing but it looks like something someone either had custom built or they built it in their garage. Beam looks pretty narrow but it's hard to tell from the pictures.

This dude can't take a picture without getting his finger in the frame?

Boat looks pretty sharp to me.

Nice looking little rig. It be wary of a 22 year old motor and I wouldn't bring it out on a lake like Verret or Maurepas unless it's dead calm
