You seem kinda mad. Like they broke into your mom's house and stole your GI Joe and Hot Wheels set, mad. I dislike corruption as much as the next guy, but you seem mad.

You are wrong sir. When BP gave the money to the state it became public money. It was misspent and now TAXPAYER money is being used to account for how this occurred and perform work/operations that should have been pis for with BP money.

Regardless of source, when the money was accepted by LDWF it became their responsibility to be lawful, legal and ethical from a fiscal perspective as it is the state and its citizens money, regardless of source.
Bid laws, procurement laws, ethics laws, departmental policy and grant policy, process and procedures were violated with respect to handling funds given to this Agency in exchange for its targeted use on behalf of the taxpayers and citizens of Louisiana.
If grant money was misspent, regardless of source, the taxpayers will have to pay the Grant back. I assure we don't have a million laying around as a contingency for violating the grant policy and process.
Folks complaining about fractions of pennies, or whining about rules being bent and not broken would lose their jobs and be recommended for prosecution in the private sector if their expense accounts were used in similar manners to violate internal fiscal controls and policies.
The main argument here is almost as if they're trying to say, "Well, my underage daughter is a little pregnant. Since she's not completely pregnant, it's okay with me."
Either fraud, ethical violations of the public trust and malfeasance occurred or it didn't, period. I'm a Registered Indelendent and I think Melancon is a stooge. The Red Snapper season is a total fiasco. But that doesn't mean that I can't see criminal, unethical behavior when it slaps me in the face, nor can I not call a spade a spade with respect to obvious, willful malfeasance.

Exactly. This LDWF administration being fricked up doesn't excused the last administration being fricked up. In fact, accepting that the last administration was fricked up may imply that you're okay with this administration being fricked up in exactly the same way.
