How many of you, that are within the age group required to take it, have gone through the process? I refuse to do it until I get stopped and questioned about it. That is one of the biggest crocks of shite I have ever heard of.

I started the online one a year ago but gave up after the first hour.

I remember it being a huge PITA though. I'm guessing it's still the same?

Might have to try it again then. I need to stop pressing my luck anyway.

I passed it about 10 years ago when my uncle new it was going to go into affect. We all signed up for the class. I'm glad I did it then and don't have to worry about it now.

I took it online when I was 16. It's easy and didn't take long at all

I took it 5 years ago online and you could bring up the book in a different window. It took about 2 hours to find all the answers. It sucked, but when I had jet skis I got pulled over numerous times on tickfaw.

Not sure but it can't be worse than MS. Anyone born after 1980 needs one if you are operating any kind of watercraft.

Put the test on one tab and just copy and paste the questions into Google on the other tab. So many sites out there with the answers done already. I got a 90% doing this and it took me maybe 30 minutes.

I took the actual class at LDWF in '09, 2 day 2 hrs each day with a test on day 2...pretty sure every one in the class passed it.

Easily worth it though, I boat on False river and get stopped any busy weekend.

I've been stopped in a boat once in my life to be checked for our fishing licenses and that's it. I'm not worried about how long the course is or the test, it's the principle of the matter that doesn't sit well with me.

That's why I did it. You can get away with it many other places, however.
