Most of my pack stays the same at about 10 to 15 pounds.
Jesus.
I've just finally got into the swing of things, and my bag is in the 20s.
Tent - ~3.5 pounds
Jetboil/Fuel - ~1.5 pounds
Sleeping Pad - ~3 pounds (next upgrade)
Sleeping Bag - ~1.5 pounds
Safety stuff - ~4 pounds
Add in the food, water, clothes, and various other shite (usually for my dog, though she's got her own bag now) and I'm easily pushing 20 plus pounds on my pack.

Have you considered upgrading your pack? People never seem to consider packs when trying to cut weight. Check out the ULA Ohm 2.0

I'm upgrading it this summer, and getting the higher end lightweight stuff. My bag right now is only a 38 liter, so I'm really stretching it by doing 3 nights, and I'm mostly using Ozark Trail items
It's an Osprey Exos 38

Ozark Trail makes some surprisingly good and decently lightweight gear.
Check to see if you can remove the internal frame from your Osprey. Should save you some weight until you can upgrade.

I'll check that out, thanks for the suggestion.

Jug of tap water for hand washing, etc. comes in handy.

That's 10-15 pounds before I add the food. Normally need almost 2 pounds of food per day.
If I'm with others I bring a chair an a little more comforts. By myself or plan on more hiking then I trim it down some.
