I’m heading to South Texas to murder the doves. I used to want to do nothing but duck hunt and we hunted a lot of public land back in the day. Nowadays I spend all my time working on my place in South Texas that I rarely get a chance to duck hunt.

Going to be a big drinking weekend for me. Hunting in shorts, pounded beers, and knocking down teal….doesn’t get any better.

If you somehow have water, then you’ll prob have birds. We are all dry

Ya'll go get'em. I'm drilling a damn well offshore. Even if I were home, I wouldn't go. Save some for seed!!!

Haven’t gotten a good report yet. Best so far was a 3 bird average. But it has to beat sitting at work.

Our lease is nothing but lilies out that way. Two weeks ago we had a guy launch and took him two hours battling the lilies to get back to the ponds. He did see a few teal, not a ton but a few.

We are lucky enough to have a lease further down towards Pt. La Hache with a good amount of birds and less lilies.

No clue, but I’m heading down either tonight or early tomorrow to spray. They came back with a vengeance after the freeze. Doesn’t help none of our neighbors ever spray.

Heard some decent reports - I didn’t go

Local public lakes seemed to do the best around here. The one group I spoke to that hunted bayou black killed 8.
