I am thinking about a cz75, but haven't had the chance to hold one yet. I did see a turkish copy in a pawn shop, and had trouble getting a good grip on the slide since there was so little of it exposed and a slide mounted deocker on that one. However, I like the design. You like yours?

That sounds like a baby eagle made by IWI/Magnum Research. The tiny slide is because of the inverted slide in frame design. It helps with muzzle flip. It is difficult at first to handle but when you use it through a few magazines, you will get use to it quite quickly. I love my CZ. It is very accurate and very nice to shoot.

I think that gun is priced too high. What makes it so special that it warrants a price tag like that? I bet it would suck on the aftermarket parts also.

KRISS is just a company that over engineers their stuff and makes some really unique space-age weapons. I bet the gun will have a suggested retail price of around 1K but you will be able to pick it up for cheaper than that especially once the novelty of it being the newest thing out there wears off.

No they aren't. They are worth every penny. My brand new HK was a steal I think.

This. I will gladly pay a couple of hundred dollars more for an HK. They shoot wonderfully and are incredibly reliable and accurate.

May have been Canik. You can get the ones imported by Tri-Star at Academy.

Definitely wasn't a Baby Eagle. It was some brand I have never heard of nor had the counter guy (who did know about all of his other guns.) The low set slide int he frame is really what I like about the CZ. The Baby Eagle is also on my list, but those are hard to come by in the full size/all steel. EAA Witness is also the same, made by Tanfoglio, which I also like, but more because I think Tanfoglio sounds cool.

I guess also, how often do you really rack the slide? If I am shooting and reload, it's locked back already. Typically the slide rack is not in a stressful situation.

Wasn't that either. I'm somewhat familiar with those, as Bud's sells the cheap Canik 1911s (which seem to get decent reviews except that the Parkerization wears off quickly).

I should have taken a picture of it.

I don't want to get in a gun war. I like all guns. I just feel that some guns are overpriced. Kimber 1911's, Sig P226's, HK's. I know they have a higher quality to them over the lower priced guns such as RIA 1911's, Tristar CZ clones, and Glocks. I just don't feel that the EXTRA detail warrants a 300 and up dollar difference.

The Sig SP2022 has all the features of the 229 but it is polymer instead of metal. Does it really need to be a 400 dollar difference because of steel?

The HK is a better gun than the SP2022 but is it really worth over 500 dollars more?

Like I said, this is my opinion. YMMV. Hope to not start a war, just disagreeing.

Yeah. I was hoping for SP-01. Oh well. When all said and done, I'll probably just stick with CZ if I don't impulse a Canik.
