Is there a survival/cook book that details old/forgotten methods to do things? Like make coffee, build a fishing weir, catch/clean/cook various animals? Basically if the world went to shite and we had to resort back to 1800's methods of doing things.

LDS's (Mormons) literally wrote the book on self sufficiency, their 220 page preparedness manual is a wealth of old school and practical information. It is a free PDF download on the page linked above or from many other places.

"It's called common sense".

It's been downgraded to just sense.

Shouldn't have to learn from trial and error, or worse, die from lack of knowledge, when teaching manuals are available. Will be passing info like this to my grandsons. Better to know it and not need it.......than die.

Thanks for the references guys.
