I used to work there repairing and cleaning reels. I would check it out if you have never been there.

It is pretty nice. They don't have the largest selection or the best prices, but it is a local shop and they offer good service.

They are a geared towards south LA fishing, so their selection consists of mainly tackle that you would use in South LA. I could easily find everything I'd ever use in there.

When I worked there they carried H&H. I don't see why they would not carry it

Ya they should carry Attraxx it is on their site, one of the few in the whole state, although LA i believe has the most dealers of it.

It's a nice shop, and they do have a good reel repair/cleaning service. Pretty timely, they have rushed a few reels out for me quickly when requested. I do think that the owner could work on his people skills a bit...he's not very friendly or welcoming.

I never had that experience at all. He has always been very helpful to me and everything he stocks is specific to this area. If there is a type bait or terminal rig you need, you are likely to find it here before anyplace else in town. Remember going on a tuna trip and he changed out the hooks on several Frenzy poppers while I waited, even with a full store so I would have them for my trip.

Not really. You can go to Favaro's, but it's way out in north BR and not very convenient to get to.

I don't think that Mark is a total arse, I think it's just his personality. He's helpful, he just doesn't seem happy to help. He's pretty much the only game in town though.

I'm in NO frequently, so I just avoid superior and drop all my reels off at Professioanl Sports every so often for routine cleaning. I prefer them over anyone else around.

The main reason I go is because they carry Humdingers and Academy and Cabelas don't. I buy two or three strips at a time of them. They have a huge selection.
