Haha I was waiting for this pic to surface. We were fishing a tournament in Cocodrie and were heading in to the marina for some lunch and saw the boat from far away and could immediately tell something wasn't quite right. We ended up daisy chaining our boat with another boat and pulled it off the back side off the island. The owner told us they were running in from the island the night before after some night fishing. He was following his GPS track and knew he was coming close to the turn. Before he could slow down, they hit that little island. I didn't think we stood a shot at pulling that thing off but we got it and it didn't sink when it got back in the deep water.

I didn't take any, but I would think some should surface considering the amount of a**holes that slowed down to take pictures without offering any help. It was really a sad sight to see.

Update the thread. Can't tell what type of truck this is, but this is the first truck I've seen the fourchon boat launch claim

I remember growing up they would just leave the vehicles in the bayou along the road to rust away. i also remember several cars and a van chilling in the surf on fourchon beach

Currently teaching my son to launch the boat and the thing I emphasize is that if there is ANY problem, the brake is your friend. Scared to death he'll roll the truck off of the ramp. So far (knock on wood) he's doing great .
