My friend and I were sitting on the Quail Drive bridge years ago when some escaped monkeys from the nearby LSU research farm ran across the road. We thought we were tripping, but then realized we were only drinking beer.

You see some really cool shite in the underwater lights on overnighters. We caught those in dip nets.

Animals I've seen or caught in our underwater lights

baby sailfish
baby mahi
thousands of tuna, we were moored on a buoy and they used the boat as their overnight structure. Needless to say many of them didn't survive the night, whether from us catching them or the damned blacktips that would swim through the school and pick one off.
sea turtle
crabs
deepwater shrimp
triggers

Ring tailed cat.

This.
The first time I ever saw a ring tailed cat was early one morning as I was climbing into my deer stand on a lease outside of Ozona, TX. I almost had to resort to hand to hand combat in order to get the critter out of my stand. Also once saw a badger on that same lease.

Goth chic, I think the bar was called Luna on 3rd street.

Flounder that was half white on topside. Just saw an albino squirrel on college.

I've seen belugas in Turnagain Arm, just outside of Anchorage.

I've also seen glacier bears. They are blue/gray adaptations of the black bear. Also have cinnamon black bars around here too which look like a brown bear without the hump.

Glacier bears are pretty cool, just adapted to the glaciers in the area. Pretty rare sighting.

Some are blue, some are gray and some look white.

I'd love to see a Kermode bear in the wild.
