Hey guys,
I just now came across a new 22LR rifle, the Springfield Armory Model 2020 Rimfire. Price looks competitive. According the SA,"The rifle and magazine are cross compatible with Ruger® 10/22® of the same capacity." I think the Ruger rotary magazine is the best rimfire magazine around and like the fact the gun is designed to use the rotary magazine. It has a 20", heavy barrel that's threaded. Weighs 7# 7oz. MSRP for the least expensive model (black synthetic stock w/ blued barrel and action) is $434. Comes w/ a Picattiny rail. It has an "Adjustable Remington® 700 Style Trigger Group w/ Hanger System for Compatibility." It carries an "accuracy guarantee" of 3 shot, 1" group at 50 yards w/ quality, match-grade factory ammo and qualified shooter. TBH, I'm not impressed by the accuracy guarantee, but that should qualify them for a "participation trophy." The reviews I've seen online are not very favorable. Looks to be more of a "plinker" than budget "target shooter." Bud's has the least expensive model in stock for $384. I'm always a sucker for a new 22LR. Someone please buy one of these and check it out for me so I don't have to buy it myself.

ETA to clarify accuracy "guarantee" is at 50 yards.

@ 50yds

And the rifle seems to have issues feeding with ruger 10/22 mags.

I just got a Waypoint 2020 in 308 and it’s been incredible. I’m actually in the market for a 22lr bolt gun and was about to get the Bergara BMR carbon. I’ll have to compare the 2 now.

All new 700s come factory with Timney triggers. Is that what they’re referring to?

Yes, 50 yards. Somehow left that out. Thx, I'll make the correction.

Nah, what they’re saying is that they made their own trigger but with 700 compatibility, so you can swap it out with any trigger group that fits a 700. It’s just an odd choice, there’s nothing particularly great about the 700 trigger design besides that it fits the most popular action of all time. The 10/22 has the same amount of aftermarket options, looking closer though it seems like they tried to model the action off a shrunken 700, so they probably couldn’t get a 10/22 trigger to fit.
