Anybody have this bad boy? I'm considering scooping one up, figured I'd see if anyone had any first hand experience or opinions on it.

You can't go wrong with a Springfield 1911.

I have the marine corps operator that's below. Same gun, just has the olive drab. Gun shoots as smooth as goose shite. It's my house/vehicle gun. Haven't tried to CC it yet

My buddy has one of the lightweight ones as well. His had the OD green frame. It's in my signature photo.

As civil said, can't go wrong with a Springfield 1911.

Get it, they kick arse. All the features of a TRP without the grips and with a little less hand fitting. My Springfield reps all say that it is the 1911 to get if you want a Springfield. I'll likely grab one down the road

Waste no more time shopping. Get it. Fantastic 1911. I love mine, and everyone else who sent some rounds downrange with it loved it. 2 friends actually got themselves one shortly after our range trip!

I have a Champion Operator with a Jarvis barrel and I love it.
I am getting another in Oct, just haven't decided which one yet.

I had a Springfield MilSpec and it was poor quality. Sold it and bought a Colt, which was much better. My Sig 1911 also much better.

I have a few Springfield 1911s, including one of these. Grab it. You won't be disappointed. It's not a Pro, but it's pretty close to the TRP.

What's a good price point for the LB to look out for?

I'm not sure. I bought mine in 2010 if I remember correctly. I'd think about $1100-1200 sounds about right. I can ask a buddy of mine that owns a shop and get back to you.
