Dropped by a buddy of mines pond yesterday afternooon down in Ga. Used to be decent but overfished last few years by friends of friends of the few folks that live on the pond. Buddy said all the big fish were gone.
Tied on a Whopper Plopper and made a few casts from shore. She hit at edge of pads and buried up in them like a tick. No choice but to go in and get her. Made for a good story and realeased her to help the ponds future.

Notice no reaching fish to camera...we old timers don't have to :)

Sorry no foot in pic. Was covered in dollar pads anyway. LOL

It's almost comical how angry bass are at a whopper Plopper.

Damn baw! You don't even need a whopper plopper or even a rod n reel. Just jump in with them big guns and all the fish will float to the top!

Seriously though, nice fish and props for releasing it back!

LOL. First time I've ever thrown one. Ripped it through open water to just short of the pad line, let it sit for 30 secs and then gave it one tiny twitch....looked like a commode flushed under it. LOL

I forked out the $15 on a Monkey Butt colored one a week or so ago after watching tigerbait703 catch around 40 bass in 41 casts on it. Some dinks, some decent, but almost every, damn, cast. Me and my son were catching a few too on finesse worms and rattle traps but not like that. Have it tied on and ready to go, just have a weekend golf adventure starting tomorrow... May put it in my golf bag jusssst in case the place has some nice looking ponds.
