I was pretty confident that the answer has to be Chacos since every frat boy on our landlocked campus generally looks like he's heading out for a day offshore with his PFG shirt, Costa Sunglasses, and Chacos on.

Gulf coast: flip flops or bare feet.

Pacific: nothing but these.

Nike Free Runs haven't let me down yet. Good feel for the trolling motor button with them.

My dad's new boat's trolling motor is remote controlled

Looking like the Columbia's may be the way to go!

Pussy repellent.

I used to wear flip flops until my knees hurt. then I got drainmakers, but the stink too bad. Now I wear my ole arse New Balances. Much more comfortable than my drainmakers ever thought of being.

If i don't win at fishing, I always at least win at ugliest shoes. I wear these but it's about functionality not fashion when I'm fishing. Extremely comfortable, stay on, light weight, don't absorb mud or water. The perfect fishing shoe IMO.

And I actually usually wear flip flops but go barefoot in the boat. The flip flops are basically for transitioning from the boat to off the boat.

Surf fishing or kayak fishing: barefoot.

When wet wading on a river, I wear chacos.

When wading in cold water, I wear my Patagonia wading boots with my waders.

Food for thought, don't attempt to operate a camera drone to film your action while operating the remote on the trolling motor. Frequencies will cross and the drone will take a dive.

Funny story since it wasn't me shelling out the money. Drone was unrecoverable in the current and chop.

I typically just wear flip flops.

I've been told this is a terrible idea for an offshore trip.

Any recommendations for offshore?

I've got some Teva water shoes for when I had the yak and had to trek through the marsh. Barefoot in a regular boat.

I would love to have some of the PFG or similar shoes with built in drains. Unfortunatley wet and my feet don't mix. I wear boat crocs, they don't slip in the boat like regular crocs. If I'm not barefoot I'm wearing crocs.

Non Slip boat crocs
