Anyone recommend this reel for me? The reel is a 2500 FE. Its on a list of reward items from my roofing supplier and I don't know much about them. It would be for freshwater bass fishing things like drop shot, shaky head, etc. TIA

Hell of a reel for the price IMO.

I have a Sedona 2500 which is one step below the Sahara and I love it.

I use the Sahara 4000 for marsh fishing. I am really happy with it.

Have the 2500 on my speck rod and love it. Super fun hooking up to a bull red or drum and hearing that little reel scream

Sounds good and thanks for the replies. Kept looking and the Symetre 2500 is also on there for 500 pts more but I have enough pts to get either.

Two more questions: Is it worth the difference? Are they both able to reel with your left hand bc that's how I fish. TIA

I have the Sedona 2500 as well. All I do is saltwater fish with it and it is awesome for the price.

I have the 2500, one of my favorites.

Certainly would recommend it for the price.

I like the Symetre better. The drag is a bit smoother, but both are very high quality. You can't do much better than Shimano unless you want to spend incredible amounts on some of the exotic, high end reels.

If you're paying real money, no, but this is from your points list, so I'd go with the Symetre.

Yes. You can just unscrew it and switch sides with the handle.
