OP, eat downtown at the Diamond Grill. Pretty good upscale food.

Robbie G's Restaurant
5859 Jackson St Ext
Alexandria, LA 71303
(318) 443-8621

Kind of a hole-in-the-wall place, but I've eaten lunch there five or six times and it's pretty good.

It's been a while, but Lou & Laura's (chicken and poboys), Julia's (mexican), and Paradise Catfish all used to be good.

Critic's Choice - 2 locations.

I also agree with Outlaw's, Robbie G's and Copeland's. Tunk's is pretty far out, but if you're already on Hwy 28 West, I recommend it for supper.

Another locally owned/operated place is Julia's Mexican Restaurant, just off the traffic circle.

And there is always Bistro on the Bayou (bring your wallet).

We actually have a few good places to eat. Now if its night life you want, your screwed. Only place we go for that is to Marksville to the casino. You have some good recommendations though. If your in pineville, go to Tioga and eat at Fants.

Was your mom on Wheel of Fortune? If your dads initials are TM, seems like I remember his wife on there when I was a kid.

Your dad was a hell of a driver btw. I know Dane pretty well and had a lot of family that ran other classes.
