No, it's not a Tikka and no I'm not buying a Meopta. I'd like 6.5CM shooters input on getting a scope that can match the long range potential of the cartridge. I know a few guys bought some high-powered Vortex Viper scopes a few months ago. Any strong scope deals out there at present?

Congrats on the new gun. I just picked one up in .308 and will be needing to pick a scope soon as well.

Viper pst 6x24 is what I have. Great scope for the money. Do you have a budget?

I had issues with mine getting blurry for no reason. I thought I got a bad one but then my brother had the same issue with his. Vortex said the gas was leaking out and fixed it. We sold them as soon as we got them back.
I mounted a nightforce on my Ruger Precision and love it.
Nightforce SHV
MOAR Reticle (illuminated)
Front Focal
4-14

I don't have any issues taking it out to 600 yards right now.

My son has a Nikon prostaff 5, 3.5x14 50mm. For the money it is a really nice setup. And FYI his American 6.5 shoots better groups than my tikka.

Very impressed with that one. BIGLY. Only thing is $1250 on optics on a $400 rifle gives me a slight pause.

I have the Ruger American Predator as well but mine is in .308. Fitted with a silencer and it is a tack driver. It's really an amazing gun for the money

I have a Zeiss Conquest 4-12x50 on mine.

I am a big fan of Zeiss Conquest scopes, I own several and try to find them on sale. Did you do anything to the stock? I know an OB'er put some epoxy in his to add weight.

Nope. I like the light weight. It's will mostly be used as a hunting rifle. My 10yr son can shoot it without any problems also. I was a little concerned about the recoil but he was fine with it. The weight of the can helped with that though.

I'll be running an Omega on mine as well. You haven't had any problems with the mag feeding rounds have you? I've read some have had trouble with the earlier mag springs.

Nope but I have only run 40-50 rounds through it and most of those were direct feed at the range.

Down rob two choices:

Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50 EBR-1 (30mm tube)

Or

Meopta MEOPRO 6-18x50 Mildot (1 inch tube)

Both Second Focal Plane

Yep, that would not work for me either.
