Depends on the rifle. I use Warne tactical rings on my Tikka that has a pic rail on top. I recommend them.

To broad of a question.
For pow pow's old winchester that you are deer hunting with whatever whatever is in the 30-60$ range
If you are shooting a 10 lb bench rifle at 600yards look a little higher.

Need more info....what type of gun? what caliber? What does the top of the gun look like where you mount scope? pre drilled? will it require a rail? what size scope 30mm tube or 1"? 40mm view or 50mm ? will you need high rise mounts or mediums to clear the barrel out front? Vague question
