What do you prefer?

My vision sucks badly past 20yds. So I'll have to go with a scope. So many options though.

Dont have the AR yet, just trying to sort out exactly what I want.

Btw scope budget is 500.

Depends on what you want to use it for.

I have optics on both, can run BUIS on both but I'm realistic in knowing my chances of actually needing such sights is unlikely at best. My Garand, M1A, and GSR have better iron sights than most available AR options too.

I prefer iron sights, mainly b/c a scope adds too much weight and bulk for a truck gun. Only issue, and it's a big one, is that you can't see the sights at hog:30.

Look into some low power optics with a red dot option.

I have those rings with a Leupold VX hog 1-4 scope on my .300. I love it.

Would suck at 200yds though.
My 5.56 has an EO Tech
6.8 has a 4-12x42 Zeiss conquest
AR-10 has a Meopro 4.5-14x50

It's essentially the same thing. No real differences.

Seems like it has the whole package, not a bad price.

Yeah, that's about what I've seen them go for. Looks like a decent deal to me.

Trying to decide between that, Aimpoint, or EO Tech for my 300. Do you like it over the EO Tech?

Really depends on what you're doing with it. The EO Tech definitely has faster target acquisition but I like the magnification.

Pretty much just for hogs and plinking.
Which makes me think I want the EO Tech
