Update, just sent them this email after much frustration:

quote:

I placed an order for a M&P Shield 9mm three days ago. I have not heard a damn thing from you guys since. Hell, I still don't even know the order or invoice number. I had to call and confirm my purchase with the customer service department two days ago to supposedly get it to go through. This is after waiting on hold four times for longer than 15 minutes, leaving two messages, and sending two emails. This is ridiculous. When I call now, I get sent to the compliance department. Quit god damn doing that, no one ever answers.

Your FFL telephone number is never answered, and goes to voicemail....which of course is full.

I tried to change my email address since your emails were not getting through, but you would not let me do that. I probably need to get my FFL information to you, but I have no flipping idea because I DO NOT GET THE EMAILS!

Now, I am sitting here, three days after I ordered the damn gun, 5 days before Christmas(with a weekend tomorrow), with nothing to show for it except $400 deducted from my credit card.

There better be a good reason for all of this BS that I have been putting up with. I don't care if you are over-worked. Get some temp workers for Christ's sake. How could you not see this coming?

At this point, I just want the gun. I want the gun to be here before Christmas. Other than that, you are just wasting my time with your deplorable customer service. If we cannot get this worked out, I will just file a grievance with my CC company and buy elsewhere.

Here is the information so that you can do your job:

I see you are a little upset over this. Did they commit to ship it out before Christmas when you ordered? YOu need to make sure your FFL dealer will be open next week as well as many mom and pop gun shops close he week of Christmas. Next time you order there is a place on Jefferson Highway that charges $15 for delivery.

Was supposed to. I am not positive though because I haven't ever gotten any emails from them. Drives me nuts when people have no semblance of customer service

My FFL is gonna accept it. He said he'd be open all next week except for Christmas day.

Update #2:

After sitting on hold for 23 minutes waiting for someone to pick up the phone, I hung up. Second phone call was to Mastercard to contest the CC charges. Going to order from Kentucky Gun Co. They said they should be able to get it here for X-mas, so hopefully my gf gets a full stocking

From what I have read about PSA, they screw up most LPK orders. Customer service is non-existent. Works out well for some people, but others get screwed royally, and I think I was going to be one of them

Yeah, I'd be willing to deal with them if they had ANY kind of response for ANYTHING. Nothing at all from them.

I did get a generic email saying that they care about me, but other than that...nothing. Should've done more research because I am usually the one to get screwed by these types of deals.

Problems seem to be:
1) selling stuff they don't have
2) incompetent employees
3) not enough employees
4) customer service non-existent

I am predicting them going down the shitter by the end of next year. You just can't have a company with ZERO customer service. Hell, I'd call them and go smoke a cigarette before even thinking about paying attention to them answering the phone

Hammer: PSA is doing $100 GCs for any purchases of S&W through Jan 1. I know you are pissed at them, but maybe they could keep your business with one of those.

But... they are OOS of the shields. So no cancel and rebuy.

I know the principles are usually a bigger deal at this juncture, just trying to help out

$100 isn't enough to get a favorable review. Frankly if they gave me the gun for free, I still wouldn't give them a good review. Good customer service goes much further than cheap prices in my book

Check the BC for your CCL stuff

This is my first order with PSA. I would be upset with their C/S too if I were in a rush to get the gun. The charge went on my C/C today so we'll see how long it takes. I didn't know about the S&W gift card.

GC just came out today. I assume it was after they sold out of the shield.

It's shitty to think that the 15 other presents I ordered on the internet are gonna be here within 4 days of the order, but they cannot seem to process it within that time

It's actually $30 now. Every place that does transfers had to increase their transfer rate after the buying panic last year. It may eventually go back down once things are entirely calmed down, but once prices go up they rarely go down.

I love the one I got for my wife. Great gun.

eta: I just read the rest of the thread. That doesn't sound so much like a good deal anymore.
