Manufactured before August 19.

Saw the thread about this yesterday, but here is the official recall.

That's a very very small detail that I doubt most Shields will suffer from.

At least I hope so.

Shield owners, check em out and see if the tab disappears after taking up the trigger.

Read the actual recall. It is an extremely small issue. I doubt it will affect all of them.

Then would probably be a great time to buy one. Some may veer away due to the recall out of human nature; however, like other reputable gun manufacturers, S&W will address this issue with them from this point on.

That's true... I just have a feeling they'll be even harder to find. I need to go to bass pro to get it to since I have about $250 in gift cards from my credit card points

Seems to me like if you pull from the top of the trigger its just a little more finicky then the fullsize M&P. mine passed and i ain't got no worries

I still wouldn't be discouraged from buying one at all.

My Kahr CM9 has no little Glockish tab on the trigger, or a two-piece trigger like the M&P. It is just a single flat piece of steel. I have never felt worried about carrying it.

Actually read the recall. It's mainly to prevent idiots from shooting themselves.

Here is a video showing how ridiculous the recall is. They were probably forced into it.
