BS Walmart is getting ready for their new models by getting rid of some models.

On a side note I filled out my form and approved as soon as they hit the submit button

Dang I didn't see that Marlin 17 . I picked up the savage 22. Probably would have gone with that one had I saw it. I did ask the guy and he said they didn't have it either. Freaking Walmart employees are useless

I've never purchased a gun from Walmart before. I was amazed and how fast the background check was. Maybe 5 minutes to do paperwork and get approved. But it took 45 minutes to get the box and get the manager over there. Ridiculous.

Had the same experience. The computer was down, that took 3 different employees and 20 mins to figure that out. I said the hell with it and was leaving and one of the employees caught me right before I got outside. 5 mins to fill that part out and be done and approved. Then 30-45 mins to get 2 different managers to come by, open the gun case, then verify all the paperwork that has already been checked by 2 people at the sporting goods area. Then 10 mins to wait for them to find the box, 2 shooting sports area employees and 1 manager to verify the serial numbers on the box match the rifle. Whole process was like an hour and a half of standing there, finding the right employees, doing paperwork, and chatting with people coming by ask what I was buying (which wasn't much, people in northern VA suck compared to back home)

Last time I bought a blue label glock at the LGS it took less than 10 mins for the whole process. Blue label paperwork and the forms to be completed, purchase of the gun and a box of ammo.

Come on Walmart, you're making it hard for me to rob you....get your shite together!

Love this thread, cheers boys!

It's all the check and balances Walmart has to do to pacify the ATF.

If a Walmart manager doesn't verify the serial # with the gun, box, and paperwork then they get terminated.

If ATF comes into Walmart and checks the records it has to be perfect. Just like with anyone if the ATF can hit Walmart with a big fine then they will.

I fully understand that. But they struggled to find the box. And when the guy was wrapping up he could have given the manager a heads up to start coming. It was well worth the discounts though. I'd go through it again to get a $200 30-06 and a $75 22

Went through this crap in Vidalia today . Assistant Manager didn't know how to finalize sale . Told me to come back in 3 hours , I informed Miss YOULANDA that I lived in Alexandria . She says , oh well we will sell it to someone else . Had her fat hands on her fat hips waving the radio . I wanted to choke her out . She then blamed the sporting goods lady because she had worked there longer then her .
