So take the toll bridge for about a mile and exit down and over to LA.1 and fish the banks?

Ask john Rucker. He's the king of roadside fishing.

South of Houma on Highway 56. Both Boudreaux and Robinson Canals have places for people to fish on the banks. Apparently they've been murdering the red fish, drum, and specks.

Does anyone know of any spots to fish from bank on Lake Pontchartrain? Or any decent spot to bank fish a little closer to Baton Rouge? Any help would be nice, looks like Saturday will be beautiful. email me if you are willing to help and don't want to post it on here. mattcallaz@yahoo.com

tell you what.Since i've had my boat i can think of more than one occasion where i've thought to myself " damn i miss just taking off,no planning. No trailering,no gasing up everything and just wetting a line in the marsh off the side of the road,or fishing off the Grand Isle pier at night"

I used to find peace fishing like that. Boating adds a different dynamic to fishing and it's difficult to realize that if all you do is fish from a boat al lthe time.

I learned how to bass fish mostly from the bank. I actually fished Sherwood Park and LSU Lakes a lot back then. Good times.

You're right. Sorry. Might as well get a cheap kayak and you'd be much better off.
