Has anyone ever built a cart for a Green Egg? Asking for a friend.
Thanks in advance.

I'm seeing a couple different design types on Google but I think this is ideal. Of course it depends on your storage space.
For $60 on Amazon I would just order something like this instead of building myself.

Get the Big Green Egg custom Island and be done with it. Can't see how a wooden one would last.

I built this one and it turned out good. I have had it at least 10 years.

Built in an afternoon a few years ago. I think it was $120 with casters. All in, it was the same price as buying the egg with the nest set up or less. I forget what the plans were, but the green egg dealer had the critical dimensions (hole size, height of shelf and top, etc). I modified several things anyway. Such as not using 4x4s for the legs. Its completely not necessary. This thing is a tank as it is. Only thing I'd do differently is the finish. Thompsons water seal works, but it's not the best looking. I'd spend more time sealing the top as well as it gets stained easy.

Yep. Give me your email and I’ll send you my plans.

Some good ideas here. I would make one recommendation though - make the bottom shelf a little lower and put 4 square pavers for the egg to sit on to prevent embers from damaging the wood.

I have a huge slab of cypress (3' wide x 12' long x 4" thick) that has been drying in the spare bedroom for 2 years now. As soon as the house remodel is over, I'm building a bar/outdoor cooking table of sorts out of it and cutting a hole out for my Primo.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I knew this would be the place to find some skilled woodworkers.

Most plans already take this into account. And BGE sells a small stand made for this purpose. It's only like $25 and holds the pit up off the wood. The pavers definitely work, but I liked the clean look with the stand.
Definitely brace the side supporting the BGE weight a little more though. That's one thing you have to remember.

On a similar note, has anyone built one to keep an Egg and a Blackstone Griddle? Have a table now for my Egg, but want to build a new one to hold both.
