Don't get me started on the office/suburb crowd that "needs an suv/truck". But this is what they've done. 20 years ago a Dakota RT with 5.9l V8 cost $21,000.

Yep, $21,000

Yeah, but at that point you were out $21,000 and all you had to show for it was a Dodge Dakota

You can buy a Chevy colorado today for low 20's.

Truck prices are made into a bigger deal than they are. Lower trim trucks are very well equipped and not at all unreasonably priced compared to other goods.

Bought two trucks in high school and sold them both for the same price i bought them. 1987 ford ranger ext cab 2.3l 5 spd 4 banger 2wd but it had a roll bar with kc lights and a brush guard

The other was a single cab 94 dodge dakota 3.6l v6 5spd. Could burn the wheels and catch a skid at 3rd gear. But added a truck box so it was marketable. I guess.

Fast fwd today looking at tacomas for my 15 yr old and they are way more than what i am willing to pay. Sedan it is

Who the frick are you to judge anyone for how they spend their money? It’s none of your business.

If you want to criticize he office/suburb crowd, prove why you need any of the shite you buy.

Saw an ad on the net yesterday saying how much Dodge Rams were being discounted, so I checked them out.

The cheapest one was over $52K and they went up from there.

That's almost as much as I paid for the house I'm in when I bought it in 92. fricking insane.

I’m guessing you hate anyone that owns more than 50 rounds of ammo or owns a Yeti.

Look at the technology that goes into a truck now versus a piece of shite Dodge Durango.
Besides that those were 100k trucks. Not many made it more than that.

My truck all through high school. You could put that motor through hell and it never missed a beat.
