This will be my first year giving deer hunting serious effort. Recommend a good camera, but no need for a top of the line camera.

Primos 35
Just bought my 3rd 3 weeks ago on amazon for 63ish bucks. They are super easy to use and take decent pics

What brands should we stick with and which to avoid?

I do not recommend this camera. I've owned many different Primos cameras in the last 10 years, including 2 of these. Neither one made it through an entire season. Not to mention I'd have rice bran or corn 10' from the camera and never got decent pics yet the snacks disappeared with tons of tracks. ALl other Primos cameras that I've owned (the 46 and 60) have been great, but I was disappointed with the 35. I guess you really do get what you pay for. I'm giving Wildgame Innovations a try right now. Thinking of getting a Moultrie to try too

I bought a Browning last year. Maybe the Strike Force? Anywho, they have really good reviews on chasingame.com. My dad has a Moultrie M80? and it worked well for him last year.

Wildgame Innovations. But yes don't get this crap.

Moultrie are what I have had the best experience with. I've pretty much tried them all. Browning cams aren't bad, but I haven't had good experience with Primos.

Primos 35

I have had several different brands and this one seems to be the best one for the price. I've had it for about 5 years now. Wildgame cameras are junk, or they have been for me at least.

I would stay away from the moultrie A5 I was running three of them and none of the made it the whole season. The trigger speed was slow and I would have no corn but yet I would not have any pictures of the creature eating the corn. It did take really good pictures of the wind blowing though. I have Stealth Cams now and they have been providing really good pictures as well as excellent battery life.

No Wild Game!!!!

I am using strictly StealthCams right now G42NG but the 60$ p12 model is legit as well. I bought 2 A5s last year and neither made it thru the season.

If you want one to email or text you pics, go with Covert.
