Do you have to have a copy of the trust as well as the stamp with the NFA item? I was under the understanding that you only had to have a copy of the stamp.
For instance, what if I let a family member borrow the item who is not on the trust. How would law enforcement know if they are on the trust or not?

You have to have a copy of the trust and a copy of the tax stamp on you if you are in possession of a NFA item.
