Almost grabbed one as I reached for a branch in the yard.

I've killed so many of those throughout my youth with the BB gun. They used to get in huge clumps in oak trees in the woods behind the house.

I love stepping on those and seeing their guts spew out

I've live in Houston for 15 years and we do not get them here...thought it was weird we didn't after moving from Baton Rouge.

I work with people from different areas and they have not known about "stinging caterpillars" until they moved here. also, love bugs is a new one for people.

spray them with Bengal foaming wasp spray...they shrivel and die. I've done this for a couple seasons and each year I notice significantly less and less on my trees

yeah, this is the third summer in my current home. I have done the same and last year had less than the previous year. Hopefully this year will be the same. I do squash a few though....my inner child has to have some fun.

I wonder if fish like em? Grab one and throw it in a pond and see what happens.

I put my hand on one of those when I was a kid. I can still remember how much it hurt.
I never even heard of love bugs until I lived in Baton Rouge. Now we see them in NELA.
