They need to be flying drones with IR to spot them...

Snakes are cold blooded. And with IR it does not use heat. Thermal uses heat...and you would probably be able to see the snake as it would be a different temp than the surrounding area. With IR you would see it...and the eyes...like them pigs in my vid.
