Affirmative. The clamp works fine. I check mine pretty often and it never comes loose. During duck season, I just pop it off the back and put it in storage.

Pretty much everyone that sees mine, wants one. They are worth every penny. You can talk to people that don't own a PP and they will say you don't need one. Talk to someone who has one and they will never own a boat without at least one. I was anchored on an oyster reef in PAC with 30 mph winds and current and didn't budge.

Reason I like the Micro is the advantage of taking it off. I can take out the spike in a second and the whole unit in 10 seconds

threw out words like "safety", "less hassle" and "no rope to get him tangled in and pulled over" seems to be working so far.

And you "don't wand her to have to worry about these things. Kids drown every day" and you are only taking precautions.

Going to go this route. Where did you get it with free shipping for that price? I've got Bass Pro cards but they're 599 each so to save $100/per I might just buy cash.

Austinkayak.com

Sign up for their news letter and they will send you a code for 15% off entire purchase. They will also send you a 20% off code for birthday so keep that in mind when you are filling out your information. They almost always have free shipping for anything over $40.

If you're in the New Orleans/Northshore area, call Dockside Marine in Bogalusa. Their prices are like $100 lower than online.

Yessir.

Tell them I'm always giving you a hard time on the interwebs. He'll probably give you another $50 off .

I tried Austin Kayak but the guy said the power pole wasnt eligible for the 15% off so I'm going to go the basspro route. Appreciate the effort though
