Anyone here use one or know of anyone who has?

I've got a little 16 ft bass boat and was going to buy a power pole to put on there but realized it wont fit in my garage without lowering the pole some before I back it in.

The boat is great for me but not a high performance bass boat by any means and the thought of sinking $1,500 into a boat worth $6,500 doesn't really appeal to me either. Anyone know if this will work for my boat? My boat weights 1,009 lbs. TIA

I would be curious about this as well. I have an xpress 18 cc, would this be a little too big for the micro? The specs say anything under 1500lbs. My xpress is 1100lbs before gear and people. Think that would be too much?

My brother has dual micros on his 17ft gator tail rig and they are great. You can use any 3/4 diameter rod but the ones from power pole are nice. Has a wireless remote and you can sync the two together. They are the shite for perch jerking lake bouef

Get two. Still cheaper than a regular power pole and you gain the advantage of having two. You can get two units for right at a grand shipped to your door. I ordered one the other day for $505 with free shipping.

Great idea, this might be best for me too.

Is the install easy? If I were to sell the boat is it something that I could take off or is it best to just sell with the boat?

It's just four small bolts. There is even a bracket that will bolt up to your outboard mounting bolt. My last one was deck mounted, the one I just bought will be transom mounted.

Got one this past spring and I love it. I have a 15'6" War Eagle and it works great. I use the clamp on attachment for mounting it to the rear of the boat. Makes fishing with my small son much easier.

It will definitely work. I have one on a 1756 Phowler with a Pro Drive that gets fished pretty hard. It'll hold that boat with gear and 4 people in 20mph winds. The boat is pretty heavy too. It's definitely the way to go.

The only thing I don't like about it is how tall it is, but if you're not poling your boat much or if you just pole from one side it's not a big deal.

My original unit actually crapped out. PP sent me a new one without question before I even sent the broken one back.

trying to convince the wife that I need 2 of these and an ipilot... to make fishing easier with maisweh jr
I threw out words like "safety", "less hassle" and "no rope to get him tangled in and pulled over"
seems to be working so far.

Going to go this route. Where did you get it with free shipping for that price? I've got Bass Pro cards but they're 599 each so to save $100/per I might just buy cash.

My 'Stick It' anchor was $325.00 with the 12' anchor so you may want to check into that before you spend almost twice as much.

I just like the idea of being able to press a button and the poles going down on their own electronically.

I'd personally pay the extra $175 for a micro, just push the button and down it goes.

Fair point but after a few times it's not a big deal.
