I mean, choupique don't get 6-8' like gar fish.

In Florida they 'piques bowfin & mudfish
Used to hate when pig n jig fishing in Basin & a choupique would pick up the jig & you crossed it's eye's on hook set thinking you had a stud bass

For me here in FL it's seeing a 1' gator because I KNOW there's a 10' momma gator close by.

My Father and uncle won the Trash Fish award in the Old River Spring Bayou Bass tournament. With a 5 pound Choupique
